Scope:
Terralab has been tasked with delivering a one-of-a-kind neighborhood park within the master-planned community, The Woodland Hills. Situated on about 1 acre at the entry to a pocket of the overall development, the design includes an adventure play tower, individual play features, walkways, pavilion, and parking areas.
Impact:
The design of the park uses the existing trees that dot the site as an integral design component. The park concept revolves around the idea of an expansive backyard playground, perhaps built by a parent. We have just taken it to a new level. Incorporating custom wooden structures built around existing and new trees, massive climbing elements, and sensory-rich plantings, the park is a daydreamer's paradise.
