Scope:
Terralab has designed overall amenities and pedestrian facilities for the master-planned development in Baytown, TX. They include a neighborhood pool complex, playground, trails, and pedestrian bridge. Additionally Terralab has planned and designed the streetscape along the commercial areas on Kilgore Parkway.
Impact:
The neighborhood contains single-family home tracts and commercial properties. Behrens Land Group and Terralab are working to create a unique community in the Baytown area with a rich diversity of amenities for the folks living in and around the neighborhood. The project will phase construction from 2018-2023.
Designs focus on the use of stone, corten steel, and grading to create interesting features and signage. Native trees, grasses, and shrubs are utilized to reduce water needs and create a sense of place. The recreation park, centrally located, contains a community pool, large open space, and parking.
