Scope:
Terralab is charged with carrying out the project vision through design and observation services. A centralized park will include an adventure play area, interactive splash park, pavilion, and an expansive lake feature. The entry and park elements will take aesthetic cues from the local landscape, as well the community name and brand.
Impact:
Cobblestone is a new single-family neighborhood in the southeast metro area of Houston. Located near Galveston, the project takes advantage of the existing coastal grasslands where possible. Currently, the project is moving through early design phases, with construction of entry and greenspaces to start in late 2018. Local materials such as Texas stone, wood timbers, and locally produced pavers will be used. The use of these materials positively impacts the local and state economy and reduces their carbon footprint.
